Major Injury Collision on Golden State Highway Friday
Bystrom, CA (July 17, 2021) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle accident that occurred on State Route 99, also known as Golden State Highway, Friday morning.
On July 16, Friday, the California Highway Patrol group reported a motorcyclist crashed in the northbound side of the highway in Bystrom. The collision took place near the South 9th Street offramp.

Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after 1:26 a.m. According to the CHP dispatch, the motorcycle rider sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. An ambulance later arrived, then transported the patient to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Meanwhile, it remained unclear whether another motorist was involved in the collision. Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the accident in Bystrom.
