Pedestrian Injured in Bystrom Hit-and-Run at River and Bystrum Roads
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (September 15, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at River Road and Bystrum Road in Bystrom.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the incident at about 7:54 p.m. near Modesto.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Bystrom area. The driver hit the person at the intersection of River Road and Bystrum Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the River Road Market. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and then fled toward Mitchell Road away from the bridge. They described the suspect car as a blue 4-door sedan.
Officers forced the intersection of River and Bystrum roads to close following the collision. The Bystrom hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
