Major Injury Collision on the I-10 Freeway in Cabazon

CABAZON, Calif. (Jan. 22, 2024) — A major injury crash in Cabazon happened Monday morning on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Banning Scales and the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa.

The collision occurred at around 9:25 a.m. on Jan. 22nd, between Cabazon and Banning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Three vehicles including a white Honda Civic and a police patrol car were involved, the report said.

It’s unknown what led up to the collision that was blocking the No. 1 lane of the freeway.

Paramedics responded and located at least one person with major injuries who they transported to a hospital.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the Cabazon crash on the 10 Freeway.
