Driver Crashes into Gate and Tree at Elm Street and Bonita Avenue
CABAZON, California (April 9, 2014) – A suspected drunk driver crashed through a gate at the entrance to an Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water bottling plant and into a small tree Wednesday morning in the 14020 block of Elm Street at Bonita Avenue in the San Gorgonio Pass area, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 6:42 a.m., CHP officers responded to the single-vehicle crash involving the driver of a black Honda Accord sedan. The driver was injured in the collision and paramedics took the suspect by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police did not disclose whether the driver will be charged with DUI.
Stagecoach Tow was dispatched to the scene to remove the damaged Honda.
“There is no excuse for drunk driving, period,” said Attorney James Johnson, a personal injury lawyer who serves injured clients throughout California. “Fortunately, in this case, there were no innocent people hurt and that this person also survived the crash. Too often that is not the case.”
