Minor Injury Collision on State Route 1
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (August 10, 2023) — A minor injury car accident on Cabrillo Highway 1 happened Thursday, north of Molera Road south of Castroville in Monterey County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on northbound State Route 1, just before 10 a.m. on August 10th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. The drivers of a blue GMC Arcadia and a white Toyota Highlander SUV were involved.
2-Vehicle Crash on SR-1 and Molera Road
One of the vehicles apparently was traveling on Molera Road and turned in front of the other to enter northbound Highway 1. Both vehicles suffered major front-end damage in the collision, the report said.
Paramedics responded to help those who suffered minor injuries, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both vehicles from the highway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
