CAJON JUNCTION, California (May 29, 2018) — One person has died and three others were hurt Saturday night (May 26) in a collision just north of the Cajon Junction, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The solo crash involved a vehicle occupied by four people that went off the 15 freeway roughly 150 to 250 feet down an embankment, the CHP said.
Police closed down at least three lanes of the southbound freeway for several hours to investigate the crash.
Fatal Accident Investigation
Police are investigating this collision to determine the cause and liability. At this time, police are collecting evidence at the scene and interviewing those involved to determine if any criminal charges should be filed. It’s unknown whether drugs and or alcohol were factors, nor whether or not a traffic violation led to the crash.
