6 Students Hurt in Crash Near College of Communications
FULLERTON, Calif. (March 28, 2022) — Six Cal State Fullerton students were hurt in a crash at Nutwood and Commonwealth avenues.
The collision occurred on March 23 around 5:21 p.m., according to the Daily Titan and CSUF Police Department Capt. Scot Willey.
A white sedan suffered major damage in the crash, possibly involving an OCTA bus. The incident took place in front of an Orange County Transportation Authority bus route 26 in the westbound lanes. Fullerton police and fire department crews responded to the scene where they declared a mass casualty incident and assisted six injured students.
Paramedics transported four of the students by ambulances to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Two of them suffered serious injuries and the other two had minor to moderate injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if this was a solo-vehicle crash or if the nearby bus was involved. A photograph of the damaged car shows a OCTA bus facing the driver’s side of the damaged car.
The Cal State Fullerton crash remains under investigation by the Fullerton Police Department.
