2 Killed, 1 Injured in Crash at California City and Yerba Boulevards
CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (October 1, 2022) – A crash killed two people and injured another person at California City and Yerba boulevards in California City.
According to The Bakersfield Californian and Kern Golden Empire, the fatal accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 6:15 a.m.
Police said a 2017 Chevrolet and a 2021 Toyota collided head-on for an unknown reason. The two cars crashed at the intersection of California City and Yerba boulevards.
2 Cars Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced the drivers of both vehicles dead at the scene. A third person ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police believed that speed and alcohol played a role in the incident. Officers forced the area of California City and Yerba to shut down for a time following the wreck.
