Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run at California City and Forest Boulevards
CALIFORNIA CITY, CA (October 28, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at California City Boulevard and Forest Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident took place on Thursday afternoon. The accident happened at about 12:17 p.m.
CHP reported that a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in California City. The driver hit the person at the intersection of California City and Forest boulevards.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patient for the injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver did not stop to help the victim. They added that the suspect continued and fled the area.
Officers forced California City and Forest boulevards to shut down following the hit-and-run crash. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
