3 Injured in Calimesa Crash on Westbound Interstate 10 Near Cherry Valley
CALIMESA, CA (September 12, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on the Interstate 10 near Cherry Valley Boulevard in Calimesa.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Sunday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 2:50 p.m.
CHP said six vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Calimesa. They crashed on the westbound side of the Interstate 10, just east of Cherry Valley Boulevard.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of three people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took all three patients to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Cherry Valley to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Calimesa crash is still under investigation.
