Caltrans Worker Quanda McGadney, 51, Killed in Vacaville Hit-and-Run Crash
OAKLAND, CA (June 4, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash killed Caltrans worker Quanda McGadney on the Interstate 80 near Vacaville.
Officials identified the 51-year-old Vallejo woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Friday morning.
The incident happened when a white Mazda 3 struck Caltrans Maintenance Worker Quanda McGadney for an unknown reason near Vacaville.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
The car hit her on the westbound side of the Interstate 80 near the Cherry Glen Road on-ramp. Paramedics found the pedestrian down on the ground as a result of the accident.
The California Highway Patrol said she died at the scene. The Sacramento Bee and CBS San Francisco wrote that the collision occurred on June 3 shortly after 10 a.m.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the car did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers soon located and arrested the hit-and-run suspect who left Quanda McGadney in the roadway.
