Cyclists Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Camarillo Premium Outlets
Camarillo, CA (August 6, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a bicycle accident that occurred on Promenade Drive, the Ventura County Star News reported.

Our sources indicated two teenagers were riding on separate bicycles traveling near the Camarillo Premium Outlets Friday afternoon. According to the article published online, a Chevrolet Bolt struck the two cyclists on Promenade Drive just south of Highway 101.
Officials said the incident blocked an entrance to the mall in the 500 block of East Ventura Boulevard.
Shortly after 12:25 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found one teen pinned underneath the small electric hatchback. Firefighters immediately pulled out the victim, then rushed him to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Authorities added the second cyclist sustained minor injuries in the collision. Officers only identified the victims as 14-year-old Camarillo residents.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet Bolt, a 68-year-old Newbury Park woman, appeared unharmed after the crash. The female motorists stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the collision happened on Promenade Drive in Camarillo.
