Head-on Crash on South Lewis Road in Camarillo
CAMARILLO, Calif. (June 25, 2024) — A head-on car accident in Camarillo happened Tuesday morning on South Lewis Road, just south of Pleasant Valley Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the southbound side at around 5:54 a.m. on June 25, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the drivers of a white Toyota 4Runner SUV and a white Ford Mustang sedan were involved in the crash.
Paramedics from the Ventura County Fire Department responded and located two people from the Toyota who needed help exiting. They got them out of the SUV and laying on the ground nearby.
It’s unknown at this time if they transported the injured to a hospital or just treated them on scene.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles due to front-end damage.
Finally, it’s unknown what led up to the traffic collision at this time. However, investigators are working to piece together what caused the crash and liability for the accident on South Lewis Road in Camarillo.
