2 Injured in Camarillo Crash Near Lewis Road and Cawelti Road

CAMARILLO, CA (October 7, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash near Lewis Road and Cawelti Road in Camarillo.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck on October 6 at about 7:49 p.m.

According to CHP, a Subaru Legacy and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Camarillo. They crashed on westbound Lewis Road, just west of the intersection with Cawelti Road.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total two people who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took both patients to the St. John’s Hospital Camarillo for treatment. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced westbound Lewis near Cawelti to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Camarillo crash is still under investigation.
