2-Vehicle Camarillo Car Accident on Southbound Highway 101 Freeway
CAMARILLO, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2021) — A Camarillo crash on the Highway 101 Freeway Friday morning happened near Carmen Drive.
The collision happened in the southbound lanes of the freeway about 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a yellow Ford Mustang and a white Ford F-150 pickup truck hauling a gardening trailer collided due to unknown circumstances, police said.
Paramedics Respond to Crash on Highway 101 Freeway
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to help at least one person with injuries, but there are no further details. The vehicles blocked the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes as well as the Carmen Drive on ramp to the freeway.
Tow trucks responded to remove the car with major front-end damage and the pickup with moderate front-end damage.
It’s unknown what led up to the Camarillo crash on the Highway 101 Freeway, but authorities are reviewing the facts.
Investigators seek to determine fault for the crash. All traffic lanes reopened by 7:38 a.m., police said.
