Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Camarillo Crash on Highway 101 Near Central
CAMARILLO, CA (October 1, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 101 near Central Avenue in Camarillo.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:54 p.m.
CHP said the motorcycle rider and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Camarillo. They crashed on southbound Highway 101, just north of Central Avenue.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced the southbound lanes of Highway 10 to shut down near Central after the crash.
The cause of the Camarillo collision still under investigation.
