1 Killed, 3 Critically Injured in Campo Crash on Highway 94 and Sheridan
CAMPO (June 28, 2019) – One was killed and three others were injured after a traffic collision Friday evening along Highway 94, also known as Campo Road.
California Highway Patrol said the fatal accident involving two vehicles took place just before 7 p.m. near the intersection with Sheridan Road.
According to reports by NBC San Diego and San Diego Union-Tribune, a Kia sedan collided for an unknown reason with an older-model work pickup on Campo Road.

Cal Fire San Diego officials along with the paramedics responded to the site one person appeared to have been pinned in the wreckage and at least one of two dogs involved was hurt upon impact.
One party was pronounced dead at the scene. Three patients were flown to nearby hospitals and were listed in critical condition.
The names of the deceased and wounded victims have not been yet released. Meanwhile, Campo Road was forced to shut down in both directions until about 8:40 p.m.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
