Chino Hills Woman Killed in Motorcycle Crash
SOUTH EL MONTE (Nov. 8, 2021) – Candace Ostler, 32, of Chino Hills, died in a motorcycle accident on the Pomona (60) Freeway in South El Monte.
The 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle she was riding struck a metal guardrail about 7:25 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol. During the crash, she was ejected from her bike at the El Monte freeway interchange, police said.
The collision happened in the westbound lanes of the Pomona (60) Freeway where it transitions to the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Candace Ostler and the motorcycle came to rest in the northbound No. 5 lane of the 605 Freeway. That is where a four-door sedan struck her as she was lying in the traffic lane.
Additionally, police reported the sedan driver failed to stop and now CHP officials are looking for the motorist to question them.
