At Least 1 Killed in Traffic Collision on Sierra Highway at Castaic
Canyon Country, CA (June 7, 2021) – One person died following a truck accident on West Sierra Highway Monday morning.
The Signal News reported a gravel truck careened off the roadway for an unknown reason in the Castaic area. Officials said the 4-axle gravel truck continued driving into a ditch; and eventually overturned near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Davenport Road.

Shortly after 8:05 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found at the scene at least one person trapped in the wreckage. Despite the life-saving measures performed by paramedics to the victim, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities mentioned no patients were taken to the hospital after the investigation.
At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several facotrs surrounding the deadly truck accident in Canyon Country.
