
Pedestrian Killed in Canyon Country Crash on Sierra Highway Near Soledad
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (February 19, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
According to The Signal and Hometown Station, the tragic accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the collision on February 19 at around 12:46 a.m.
The sheriff’s station said at least one vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Canyon Country. The driver hit him on Sierra Highway near Soledad Canyon Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the man in his 30s down on the ground. He sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies added that the motorist stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. The cause of the fatal Canyon Country pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced a stretch of Sierra Highway to shut down for a time near Soledad Canyon after the collision.
