Woman Injured in Canyon Country Hit-and-Run Crash on Stillmore Street
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 21, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Stillmore Street in Canyon Country.
According to The Signal and Hometown Station, the accident took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 1:20 p.m.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian in Canyon Country for an unknown reason. The driver involved hit her in the 19400 block of Stillmore Street.
Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle Near High School
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Sierra Vista Junior High School. They found the woman who complained of leg pain as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. Officers closed Stillmore near the intersection of Whites Canyon and Soledad Canyon roads following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the Canyon Country hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
