SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 28, 2023) — Cao Limin, 45, of Los Gatos, was struck and killed in a San Jose hit-and-run crash Sunday, but police say they have arrested the suspect.
A driver struck both a mother and her daughter as they were walking their dog on Blossom Hill Road. The deadly crash occurred about 6:50 p.m. on March 26th, according to the San Jose Police Department.
The motorist fled the scene without stopping to help the two pedestrians. Sadly, the woman and her dog both died at the scene, her daughter was hospitalized.
Meanwhile, San Jose police announced last night they have identified and arrested a female suspect in the hit-and-run crash. However, police have not released the suspect’s identity at this time.
Additionally, authorities believe they have the involved vehicle, a green or blue 2000 Honda 4-door sedan. They found the car after a citizen reported a “suspicious” vehicle.
The woman who died was identified by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office. This is the fourth pedestrian fatality in San Jose this year.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the collision may contact Detective Bowen #4461 of the San Jose Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at [email protected] or (408) 277-4654..
