Man, 52, Badly Injured in Bike Crash at Capitola Road and 30th Avenue
CAPITOLA (June 14, 2019) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after a traffic collision in the area of Capitola Road and 30th Avenue Thursday afternoon.
The accident took place on July 13 between 4 and 5 p.m. near the Capitola Mall and the Brommer Street County Park.
Police said a 52-year old man was riding a bicycle when for an unknown reason he collided with a small SUV near the intersection of Capitola Road and 30th Avenue.

According to an article written by KION News, paramedics responded to the scene and provided initial treatment to the rider who suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash.
The cyclist was then airlifted to a Bay Area trauma center for further aid. His name and condition at this time were not immediately available.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the woman in her 60s driving the car involved was unharmed in the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
