2 Injured in Crash on Carmel Valley Road
CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. (Oct. 3, 2024) — Two people were hospitalized with injuries after a car accident Thursday on Carmel Valley Road at Rio Vista Drive in Carmel by the Sea.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 7:24 a.m. on Oct. 3rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a pickup truck was T-boned by another vehicle at the intersection. The vehicle struck the truck’s door and one person became trapped in the pickup.
Firefighters extricated the person from the vehicle and paramedics transported two people to a hospital including one with major injuries.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the car accident on Carmel Valley Road.
