Jeep, Pickup Truck Crash at Fresno County Intersection
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (June 28, 2021) — A car accident on Dinuba Avenue happened early Monday in Fresno County.
A driver in a Jeep Grand Cherokee was hospitalized after allegedly running a stop sign before crashing into a pickup truck about 4:40 a.m. on June 28th, according to police.
The Jeep driver was eastbound on Dinuba Avenue and a Ford Super Duty pickup truck was northbound on Lac Jac Avenue.
Upon impact, the pickup truck crashed through a utility pole and caught on fire. the vehicle wound up in a peach orchard, but the truck driver was able to exit the vehicle without any serious injuries.
Driver Hospitalized After Dinuba Avenue Crash
Meanwhile, the driver of the Jeep suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Fresno’s Community Regional Medical Center.
A second person riding in the Jeep was not injured. PG&E responded to the scene to repair the damaged utility pole.
The car accident on Dinuba Avenue remains under investigation by Fresno police.
