Multi-Vehicle Crash on Hollywood (101) Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 7, 2022) — A multi-vehicle car accident on the Hollywood (101) Freeway happened Thursday morning in downtown Los Angeles.
The collision occurred about 3:04 a.m. on April 7th near North Broadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a black sedan, a hatchback and a semi-truck collided on the northbound 101 Freeway due to unknown circumstances.
The Los Angeles police and fire departments responded to help those involved. Police issued a SigAlert due to several lanes being blocked by the vehicles.
Police requested a consensual blood draw from one of the motorists at County USC Medical Center. It appears they suspect drugs and or alcohol were a factor in the collision.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least two of vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
