LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 11, 2023) — A collision between two pickup trucks on the Interstate 5 Freeway happened Wednesday near Fletcher Drive in the Atwater Village area.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 12 p.m. on Jan. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Toyota Tundra pickup and a Ford F-150 pickup collided due to unknown circumstances. Both vehicles suffered moderate to major front-end damage in the accident, the report said.
Police issued a SigAlert for the southbound lanes of the I-5, just north of Fletcher Drive.
Paramedics responded and treated at least one person with complaints of pain, but there are no further details in the CHP dispatch.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the traffic accident.
