
2-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-5
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Aug. 2, 2023) — Two SUVs were involved in a car accident Wednesday on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway at the transition to the eastbound State Route 134.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 10:07 a.m. on Aug. 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a grey Toyota Highlander SUV and a white Chevrolet Suburban SUV were involved in a collision. The CHP reported the Highlander allegedly rear-ended the Suburban due to unknown circumstances on the freeway.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to help a woman from the Suburban who suffered injuries in the crash.
Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the roadway. The Suburban had major rear-end damage and the Highlander had major front-end damage.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the wreck.
