2-Vehicle Collision on I-80 in West Sacramento
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 18, 2023) — One person was hospitalized after a car accident on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway, near West Capitol Avenue in West Sacramento.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 8:47 a.m. on Sept. 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Mazda and a white and black Corvette were involved.
Paramedics responded and transported one person to a hospital, but were still evaluating a second injured person at the scene.
Tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the roadway due to damage.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on the 80 Freeway in the West Sacramento area.
