Car Accident on Interstate 5 Freeway, Clairemont Drive in San Diego (Oct. 27)

Woman Injured in Crash on I-5 Freeway in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. (Oct. 27, 2023) — A woman was injured today in a car accident on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway near the Clairemont Drive on ramp in San Diego.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 9:04 a.m. on Oct. 27th, near Mission Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a a black 2013 Lexus and a second driver in a black Toyota Tacoma were involved. The woman driving the Lexus reportedly hit her head “pretty hard” and required paramedics.

Both vehicles required tow trucks to remove them from the freeway.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the car accident on the 5 Freeway in San Diego.
