2-Vehicle Crash in Diamond Bar on the Pomona (60) Freeway
DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (August 29, 2022) — A two-vehicle car accident on the Pomona (60) Freeway happened Monday morning near the Diamond Bar Boulevard off ramp.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes about 2:32 a.m. on August 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Honda Civic and a gray Toyota Prius collided in the middle lanes of the freeway. The airbags deployed in one of the vehicles and it was almost hit again as it sat disabled and sideways in traffic lanes, the report said.
Meanwhile, police and paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those involved. It’s unknown at this time if they transported anyone to a hospital, but police did call for a blood technician to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
Also, tow trucks responded to remove both of the vehicles from the scene.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the Diamond Bar accident.
