Six Injured by Car That Crashed Through Alhambra Restaurant
ALHAMBRA, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2021) – Six people were hurt in a car crash at an Alhambra restaurant Thursday afternoon on Valley Boulevard.
A driver crashed into Chengdu Taste at 828 W. Valley Boulevard about 1:25 p.m., according to the Alhambra Police Department.
Three people who were inside the restaurant suffered serious injuries in the collision. Three others had minor injuries due to the crash. Paramedics transported all six people to hospital for treatment.
The driver was reportedly making a left turn onto eastbound Valley Boulevard. The person accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes and subsequently drove through the front window of the restaurant, police said.
Following the collision, the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the police investigation.
Additionally, authorities closed down Valley Boulevard between Atlantic Boulevard and Seventh Street.
