Fiery, 2-Vehicle Crash in Lathrop on I-5 Freeway
STOCKTON, Calif. (June 29, 2022) — A fiery, two-vehicle crash happened on the Interstate 5 Freeway at the eastbound State Route 120 connector in the Lathrop area.
The collision occurred about 2:23 p.m. on June 29th, just south of Stockton, the California Highway Patrol said.
Three people suffered minor to major injuries from the crash.
Also, both vehicles caught on fire following the collision in the northbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway, police said.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash and vehicles blocking the roadway. Tow trucks removed the two vehicles from the roadway.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
