One Injured in Crash on I-215 Freeway in Riverside County
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (March 2, 2022) — A two-vehicle crash on the northbound Interstate 215 Freeway happened Wednesday morning near Cactus Avenue in the March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County.
The collision happened about 10:44 a.m. on March 2nd between a red Nissan Pathfinder SUV and a burgundy Toyota sedan, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway.
Cal Fire Riverside County Fire responded with paramedics to help those injured in the crash and transported at least one person to a hospital.
Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles due to damage from the collision. The report stated that one of the vehicles was commercially owned.
Investigators are working on the cause of the crash and liability.
