Car Crash into Food 4 Less Store in El Monte; Pedestrians Injured

EL MONTE, Calif. (Sept. 29, 2026) — Three pedestrians hospitalized after they were struck by a car that crashed through the front door of the Food 4 Less grocery store Tuesday morning in El Monte.
The victims were struck inside the store and standing in front of the building’s entrance.
It’s unclear what led up to the male driver in a Honda Accord driving into the front of the store and coming to a stop inside. It happened on Sept. 29th at 7:30 a.m. at 11950 Garvey Avenue in El Monte, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Paramedics responded and transported three people to the hospital. One with minor injuries and two had serious injuries, according to Fox 11 News.
El Monte police are questioning the driver, but it’s unknown if there were any arrests made at this time.
