2 Women, 2 Children Injured in Anaheim Car Accident Near Lincoln Avenue and Empire Street
ANAHEIM (May 22, 2020) – Several were injured after a car plowed into a business in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Empire Street on Friday afternoon.
According to an article published by the Long Beach Press-Telegram, officers received a call about the accident at around 1 p.m.
The incident began when a male driver was pulling into the parking stall at a slow speed at a shopping center on Lincoln Avenue near Empire Street.
Police said the man allegedly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake. He accelerated and then crashed into a chicken restaurant.
Car Plows Into Anaheim Food Business Friday
The vehicle reportedly did not hit any individual inside the eatery. The car struck a glass window which ultimately shattered and wounded a total of four people.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and provided treatment to two women and two children who suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The names and condition of the victims remained undisclosed. Meanwhile, the motorist involved stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the police.
Officers affirmed that the man will be cited for driving without a license. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
