Employee, 38, Seriously Injured After Car Crashes Into Clairemont Credit Union
SAN DIEGO, CA (August 18, 2021) – An employee was seriously injured after a car crashed into a Clairemont credit union.
According to The San Diego Union-Tribune and ABC 10 News, the accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11 a.m.
The incident began when a 2017 Honda Accord was going west on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near Clairemont Drive. The 31-year-old woman driving the car then suffered a medical issue.
San Diego police said the driver then lost control of the Honda and hit a parked vehicle nearby. Her car plowed into the side of the Mission Federal Credit Union at Clairemont Town Square.

The Accord also knocked down a street sign and guardrail nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
The Honda struck one credit union employee, a 38-year-old woman, sitting at her desk at the time. She sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel took the victim to a hospital for treatment of a broken right foot and cuts to her left foot. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist and her two children passengers ended up unharmed. Officers forced the area of the credit union to shut down following the wreck.
The Clairemont car crash is still under investigation.
