2 Injured After Car Crashed Into Cupertino Starbucks on Homestead

CUPERTINO, CA (July 8, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a car crashed into a Starbucks coffee shop in Cupertino.

According to the CBS San Francisco and KTVU News, the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on July 7 at about 12:03 p.m.

The incident happened when for an unknown reason, a dark blue BMW crashed through the front of the Starbucks. The car plowed into the shop at 22390 Homestead Road in Cupertino.

Driver Plows Into Coffee Shop

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Foothill Expressway. They found two people inside the business who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the patients to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, deputies said the driver of the BMW stayed and ended up unharmed following the wreck. Officers shut down a stretch of Homestead Road and closed the Starbucks to clear the site.

The cause of the Cupertino car crash is still under investigation.
