3 Injured After Car Crashed Into Long Beach Pizzeria on Willow Street
LONG BEACH, CA (March 19, 2023) – Several were injured after a car crashed into a pizzeria on Willow Street in Long Beach.
According to the Long Beach Post and FOX 11 News, the accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck on March 18 at around 9 p.m.
The incident began when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason near Willow Street and Chestnut Avenue. One of them, a 4-door sedan, spun out of control and jumped on the curb.
Long Beach police said that car then crashed into the side wall of the Buono’s Pizzeria. The restaurant is located in the 400 block of Willow Street.
2 Cars Collide, 1 Plows Into Restaurant
Firefighters soon arrived at the scene and found a man inside the business hurt. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Medical personnel at the site provided aid to at least two occupants of the sedan for the minor injuries they sustained in the accident.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the pizzeria to close and a portion of Willow Street to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Long Beach car crash is still under investigation.
