Injury Traffic Collision on Highway 101

Monterey County, CA (April 30, 2023) – Multiple people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101 Friday night, April 28.

Officials said a Soledad Police Department SUV was parked along the highway in Monterey County. According to KSBW8 News, an officer and a volunteer from the local police were assisting a multi-vehicle collision that took place on SR-101. While gather information on the case, a passing vehicle crashed into the SUV of the Soledad Police Department.

CHP Officer Hospitalized After Crash in Monterey County

Per local news source, a Soledad police officer, a volunteer, and the driver of the suspect vehicle all sustained injuries in the accident. Responding paramedics transported all three patients to Natividad Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation.

Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the traffic crash that happened on State Route Highway 101 in Monterey County.
