2 Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 101
Sonoma County, CA (July 15, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 101, the Press Democrat News reported.
Our sources indicated a Honda Civic was heading north on the highway near the Sonoma-Marin county line. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Honda veered off the roadway for an unknown reason; and ended up slamming against the center median. According to the article published online, the Honda ricocheted into the middle of the roadway and landed in the path of a Freightliner truck,
Officials said the truck hit the back of the Honda, and overturned.
Major Car Crash Near Sonoma-Marin County Line
Shortly after 7:36 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the driver of the sedan, and the truck. Due to the conditions of the two parties, medical personnel transported them to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Personal information on the patients remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. At this time, they continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly accident happened on Highway 101 near Sonoma-Marin County Line.
