DUI Driver Carina Fuentes Chavez, 29, Kills Pedestrian in Millbrae Crash
MILLBRAE, CA (March 2, 2021) – Authorities detained Carina Fuentes Chavez after a DUI crash that killed a pedestrian in Millbrae.
Police determined that the 29-year-old woman was under the influence of alcohol when the fatal accident occurred on Monday night.
The incident happened on March 1 when Carina Fuentes Chavez was driving a Honda. At the same time, a male pedestrian was crossing South El Camino Real.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene. They found him left lying on the ground and suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the pedestrian to San Francisco General Hospital where he died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, authorities soon arrested Chavez on suspicion of two felonies, DUI and vehicular manslaughter. They booked her into the Maguire Correctional Facility.
