Carl Levine, 66; and James Wheelock, 57, Killed in Valley Ford Road Head-On Crash
TWO ROCK, Sonoma County (October 2, 2018) – Two men were killed after a traffic collision along Valley Ford Road on Monday morning, according to The Press Democrat.
Sonoma County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased 66-year-old Carl Levine, of Santa Rosa, and 57-year-old James Wheelock, of Petaluma.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said Levine and Wheelock were riding a Nissan work pickup truck when they crashed head-on into a Lexus SUV on Valley Ford Road.
Woman, 72, Badly Injured in Valley Ford Car Accident
The driver of the Lexus, a 72-year-old Sacramento woman, was traveling east when she turned left in front of the truck that was driven by Levine. The two vehicles collided at approximately 11:20 a.m. near the Walker Road intersection.
CHP affirmed that the Nissan overturned onto its as a result of the crash. Levine and Wheelock, who were found trapped inside their car, died in the wreck.
Meanwhile, the elderly motorist was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. Her name and condition were not disclosed. The collision remains under investigation.
