Woman Killed, Toddler Injured in Collision at Franklin Boulevard and 21st Avenue Monday

 Carla Ochoa Fatal Sacramento Crash Franklin Boulevard, 21st AvenueSACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 2, 2021) – Carla Ochoa, 26, of Sacramento, died, and a toddler suffered injuries in a collision on June 28th at Franklin Boulevard and 21st Avenue.

Two vehicles collided at the Sacramento intersection when a pickup truck T-boned the woman’s car, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.

The fatal Sacramento crash happened about 5:08 p.m. last week in front of a thrift store owned by her family.

Upon arrival at the crash scene, paramedics and firefighters located a toddler trapped in the Sacramento woman’s car. Rescue teams extricated the toddler named Noah as well as Carla Ochoa who suffered severe injuries. Despite efforts to save her life, Carla Ochoa died at the scene. She is identified as the mother of the toddler on ABC News 10.

Officials report the toddler suffered injuries from the collision. An ambulance transported the child to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle did not report any immediate injuries.

There is no further information about the Sacramento crash at this time. However, the CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and whether speed was a factor.
