Carla Skowronski, 56, Killed in Rancho Cucamonga Hit-and-Run Crash
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (April 21, 2022) – Carla Skowronski was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Foothill Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga.
Family members set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral expenses of the victim.
The incident happened 56-year-old Carla Skowronski and her dog were walking in Rancho Cucamonga. For an unknown reason, a vehicle hit them in the 9000 block of Foothill Boulevard.
The KTLA News and Fontana Herald News wrote that the accident took place on Sunday evening, April 17. Officers reported the collision at about 7:33 p.m.
Driver Hits Woman, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the pedestrian lying unresponsive on the ground inside a mobile home park.
She and her dog ended up injured as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to the Pomona Valley Medical Center, where she died.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Carla Skowronski in the roadway.
