Carlos Martin Victim in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash Near California Avenue and A Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 26, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash near California Avenue and A Street seriously injured Carlos Martin in Bakersfield last month
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the loved ones of the victim set up a GoFundMe page. The campaign aims to help cover his current and future medical costs.
The accident happened when Carlos Martin was riding a motorcycle near the intersection of California Avenue and A Street in Bakersfield.
Police said for an unknown reason, a car slammed into the motorcyclist. Officers reported the wreck on March 5 shortly before 10 p.m.
Driver Hits Motorcyclist, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene. They soon found him left lying on the ground and ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed Carlos Martin to a hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the rider.
The motorist ultimately fled the area. Officials forced westbound California to shut down between A and Oleander Avenue following the crash.
The Bakersfield hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
