Rider Killed in Collision Near 5 Freeway Offramp
Carlsbad, CA (January 18, 2023) – A motorcyclist died following a traffic accident that occurred on Cannon Road on January 17, Tuesday.
According to ABC10 News, a man riding a motorbike collided with another vehicle in the area near the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway offramp. Additional details on the description of the motor-vehicle involved in the horrible crash have not been revealed thus far.
Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Cannon Road in Carlsbad
Earlier reports indicated rescue teams arrived at the location shortly after 5 p.m. The Carlsbad Fire Department also responded and began life-saving measures to the motorcyclist found lying on the ground. Despite the efforts, the rider sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away before being taken to a hospital. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
No immediate information was available on the other driver involved in the catastrophic incident. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal crash happened on Cannon Road in Carlsbad.
