Injury Car Accident on San Diego Freeway Saturday
Carlsbad, CA (August 14, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred early Saturday on Interstate 5, also known as San Diego Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided in the southbound side of the freeway near the Poinsettia Lane. At this time, description of the cars involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.
Shortly after 12:26 a.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Responding medical personnel attended to all possible victims in the collision. The CHP dispatch confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck.

Meanwhile, investigators later revealed one driver fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Investigators assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the car crash in Carlsbad happened.
