Major Injury Collision Near Garrapata Trout Farm Road Saturday
Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA (April 2, 2022) – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route 1, also known as Cabrillo Highway.
Auto vs. Motorcycle Accident on State Route 1 in Carmel
The California Highway Patrol group reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with another vehicle in the northbound side of the highway. Our sources indicated the accident took place in the area near Garrapata Trout Farm Road.
Shortly after 4:59 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders found the rider lying down on the ground. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, then transported them to a hospital for treatment of major trauma. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
No immediate information was available on the other driver involved in the crash.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the traffic accident happened on State Route 1 in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
