Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Carmichael Crash on Coyle Avenue
CARMICHAEL, CA (May 9, 2023) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash on Coyle Avenue in Carmichael.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the collision on May 9 at about 5:36 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Carmichael. The two collided at 6450 Coyle Avenue near Dewey Drive.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the bicyclist who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded cyclist and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver involved stopped or stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced a stretch of Coyle Avenue to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Carmichael bicycle crash is still under investigation.
